Wednesday is the day I celebrate new music, it’s an antidote for my mid-week boredom.

Check out Levi’s FREE Pioneer Sessions 2010 Revival Recordings! Levi’s brings new artists into the studio to re-craft old classics that inspired their sound. It’s very cool.

Mariaaaaaaaa…you’ve gotta see her…go insane and out of your mind…

Wikipedia is so useful. How else could I find out that Jared Allen and I have the same birthday (4/3) and Nate Dogg had a stroke in 2007! Fortunately, his voice was not affected. I always wondered what happened to Nate Dogg…

After a long hiatus, void of any creative expression, I’m BACK. And I’m so happy to be here. I’m in a bit of a transitional place, I can feel a shift coming, a creative avalanche is coming down the mountain. I love these times, when my muse awakens and sings in me! I’m gonna sing back this time.

To celebrate new/innovative/fresh Wednesday, here’s a song from Arcade Fire’s fantastic new album. Turn it up and dance. That’s what I do.

365 days project

January 4, 2010

I discovered a very cool idea this week. To take a photograph a day. Everyday. For 365 days. Awesome! I’m always up for a challenge and the end result sounds richly rewarding. Let the fun begin! I hope to post many (not all, resolution #5 is to resist the narcissism that society is sadly propagating) as we journey through 2010.

This is my first:

…and just like that, it’s over

The holidays are my favorite time of year, for the spirit of joy is abundant and the world around us appears unified. I bumped the Christmas station all month, and as I bounced along to “let’s be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly!” I couldn’t help but think everyone else progressing down the freeway at 65 mph must also be singing along with a smile on their face. While 2009 needed to be over as soon as it started, I will cherish the beauty it afforded, and be thankful. Very thankful.

“I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.” – Charles Dickens
